*The Prince from Venice*
-(SNEHA
CHAKRABORTY)
From the heavenly
kingdom of Venice,
The rich
landscape and skies pale.
My spirits and
sweet silent thoughts to the prince;
And down I lay
his descriptive tale.
Shall I compare thee to
a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and
temperate.
Hast thou a face which
is nature’s own hand-painted;
That shimmers richly
like glittering golden pearl-shine.
Eyes so bright and
smiling, as they sparkle and glimseth;
Gilding the objects
whereupon they gazeth.
Stunning looks the
palace embedded in emeralds and colorful hues,
And so doth thee amidst
all like’st a heavenly star.
Strength, his body is
where ‘tis hidden,
Along with a gentle ,
caring and loving heart;
That pumps blood similar
to precious red rubies.
Thou tak’st thy favorite
steed,
To ride in the greater realms
of kingdom’s grasslands.
A master-piece at
sword-fighting;
The gleaming and
polished sword of the scabbard.
As sunlight shines
through the canopy of pines,
Thou gleam amidst all
richness and sensations.
And thy sceptre and crown
giveth thee,
Meekness like moon-shine
and majesty like sun-shine.
Thy image in the
crystals of chandelier shines bright.
The heavy lustrous and
glossy couture;
Makes him apeareth the
ultimate stellar-born.
And the entire celestial
colors and excellencies merges onto him.
As long as heavens
breathe, or eyes can see;
So long lives this, and
this giveth life to thee.
