*A SMALL TOWN TALE*

                                                                         I’m at Times Square, its late hour;
Tired’f working inside this tower.
Solved the Case & grabbed my check,
Signed it off as Detective Beckett.
Walking my way back home,
Discovered I was all alone.
Snowflakes falling over,
I held my coat even further.

D’air turned suspicious,
It made me more curious.
Ran behind a wall & peeked,
A car came by, then stopped; I seeked.
The figure of a grim man stepped out,
Six-feet tall, hat on head, he had a long snout.

Silence surrounds!
He took a look around.
Dim headlights began to blink,
To which, my heart seemed to sink.
Darkness grew!
It blocked my view.
It’s a slow night & a long wait,
A shadow appeared at the gate!

Both men fell into a furious fight,
It became dangerous at this dead-hour of night.
The tall man seized his knife,
Plunged his foe’s heart, took away his life!
Jumped into his car; the killer hastily fled,
After performing the severe blood-shed!

My heart raced like a stallion,
Beats seemed to cross the mark of million!
Examining the body, I returned back home,
Taking the pictures into my cell-phone.

Ate my pork-meat, tuna, bread-&-soup,
Grabbed my wine-glass; had my red-hooch.
Tired! I succumbed to my bed,
A nice sleep was hard to get.

While I pondered as I lay,
I knew a ‘Fresh-Case’ was waiting for me next day!!!
